Welcome to our website! Wagon Load A Trouble takes its name from the first line of a Cindy Walker song, called "Hubbin' It." "Wagon load of trouble, big steep hill to climb. Honey she done left me, I ain't got a dime, keep hubbin' it."
So our musical roots go deep in Wagon Load A Trouble. We specialize in country, vintage rock, and western swing. And we mix in songs regardless of genre to suit the venue and the occasion.
We present family friendly content, always with grace, always professionally, and always with humor woven in. Our motto is, "no show ever the same; no heart left untouched." We love to play music, and we'll keep hubbin' it come what may.
There's nothing ordinary about WLAT. We easily go from unpasteurized outlaw country to hot rock and roll and then to ridin' the trail western swing. And we sprinkle in our own original music if it suits the venue. We call our blend of music "The Southbound Sound."
Car shows, non-profit fundraisers, company picnics, town festivals, and private parties are examples of venues where we excel. Hot Telecaster licks, creamy bass lines, smoldering drums, and rootsy vocal harmonies all come together to make an enjoyable and memorable experience.
We honor the past and embrace the present. This approach enhances our variety of sounds and enables us to appeal to a broad audience. We cover songs from artists like these:
Tanya Tucker, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Bob Wills, Kelsea Ballerini, Willie Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash, Maren Morris, Dwight Yoakam, Jon Pardi, Patsy Cline, Brian Setzer, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Presley, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Lady A, Tracy Byrd, and Sara Evans.

Our music may not have broad appeal, but it's common for us to get feedback like the comment below:
"I wanted to let you know that you are all amazing musicians! We enjoy listening to you so much more than some of the local bands that are more our genre." Heather
